Dream - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has once again made it onto the list of The World's 500 Most Influential Muslims 2024 or The Muslim 500's list of Influential Muslims in the World. The number one person in the country is once again ranked 13th.

"Cultural Blusukan Becomes the Spotlight"

The Muslim 500 describes Jokowi with his cultural "blusukan" tradition. This tradition allows the president to directly hear criticisms and develop a strong personal relationship with the public.

The Muslim 500 is a list issued by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre located in Amman, Jordan. The World's 500 Most Influential Muslims 2024 version of The Muslim 500 has been regularly released since 2010.

Jokowi himself has entered the list of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world since the beginning of his presidency in 2014. In 2022, Jokowi also occupied the 13th position in 2023 as an influential Muslim in the world and the 12th position in 2021.

Jokowi is also included in the list of other rankings issued by The Muslim 500, namely The Top 50 latest edition. The first rank is occupied by Habib Umar bin Hafiz, the leader of Dar-al Musthafa School. Jokowi's position is one rank below Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS).

The Muslim 500 writes that President Joko Widodo has focused on economic development and infrastructure investment during his term. From 2014 to 2022, Indonesia's infrastructure investment has increased from 3% of GDP to 6% of GDP. The launch of the Kartu Indonesia Sehat (Healthy Indonesia Card) program and the Program Keluarga Sejahtera (Prosperous Family Program) are also among his achievements.
