Dream - A man from England was recently arrested in Thailand for allegedly posting a one-star review online about an Italian restaurant in Phuket.
This review caused the man to argue with the restaurant owner. It is known that the review was made in 2022 when he was staying at a rental property in Phuket.
Then the 21-year-old man was arrested in Thailand earlier this month when the police came to his apartment in Bangkok.
According to Oddity Central, as reported by Thai media, the bad review started when this man, known as Alexander, frequently passed by the restaurant on his way to his home.
The restaurant owner who realized that the man passed by his restaurant several times a day, reprimanded him and asked him to use the public road instead because he was not a paying customer and could disturb the guests.
Not long after that, the restaurant owner realized that the Google rating for his business dropped from 4.8/5 to 3.1/5 due to a number of suspected fake 1-star reviews. Suspecting that Alexander was behind those ratings, he filed a complaint against him.
It is unclear how the Thai police confirmed that Alexander was responsible for those negative online reviews, but in August 2023, an arrest warrant was issued in his name.
"demikian keterangannya." translates to "such is the explanation."
According to Police Major Jomparit Kaewreung from the Crime Suppression Division, 21-year-old Alexander was arrested in Bangkok and handed over to investigators at the Sakhu Police Station in northern Phuket. During the interrogation, he denied the accusations against him, but if proven guilty, he risks spending two years in prison.
Prabowo is optimistic if domestic resources are optimally utilized to build IKN.
