Dream - Even though he is no longer young, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, stated that he is ready to help the government in Prabowo Subianto's cabinet.
Luhut will turn 77 years old in 2024, nevertheless, he is still willing to participate in the government alongside Prabowo.
"I will help as much as I can if asked by him. There are many young people who are more talented than me. I am already 77 years old, not young. I can already do it, my grandchild,"
"Luhut said as quoted from Liputan6.com, Thursday, 16 July 2024."
However, he believes that his position will later be replaced by young people who have greater competence.
"All that is under the sky has its time. So I also have to know myself. So what will happen later, we'll just see," he added.
Menko Luhut also ensures that the development of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) legacy projects, such as the Nusantara Capital (IKN) and the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, will continue for the next 5 years in the next cabinet.
Luhut sees that the macroeconomic conditions in Indonesia tend to be okay, both in terms of maintained inflation and still having plenty of room for better development in the future.
The view was obtained from the economic modeling patterns created by colleagues in the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, as well as from discussions with various parties.
"We see that in the next 5 years there will be no problem with the figures for the development of IKN. Also, there is no problem with Trans Sumatra, and many other projects can be funded by the state budget (APBN)."
