Dream - Vice President (Vice President) KH Ma'ruf Amin inaugurated the launch of the zakat amil institution Ruang Amal Indonesia (RAI) at the Vice President's office, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Ma'ruf Amin said that the potential of endowments (wakaf) and alms (zakat) in Indonesia is very high, reaching Rp327 trillion. This amount does not yet include the potential of monetary endowments (wakaf uang) which reaches Rp180 trillion.

It also appreciates the Ministry of Religious Affairs for issuing operational permits to 170 zakat amil institutions until February 2024. This licensing is given as an effort to maintain the trust of the people so that the collected funds are managed well and transparently.

I hope RAI becomes one of the accelerators for the transformation of Sharia social fund management and provides a real impact in realizing the welfare of the people," he said.
