"Dream - The bus belonging to PO Trans Putera Fajar, which was carrying a group of SMK Lingga Kencana Depok, had a fatal accident in Ciater Subang, West Java, last Saturday evening, May 11, 2024. This fatal accident resulted in the death of 11 people."
The trigger of the accident is suspected to be due to the bus's unfit condition. The allegation comes from Muwardhi, the supervisor of the Social Welfare Foundation (YKS), based on information from his grandchild's friend who was also a victim.
"Coincidentally, my grandchild happened to be a friend of one of the participants in that farewell. They saw, 'oh, I got a slightly different car', it turns out that happened," said Muwardhi quoted from Liputan6.com, Monday, May 13, 2024. According to the information provided by their grandchild, the temperature control in the bus was not working. Meanwhile, the condition of the tires was already worn out. "The AC is not working, the tires are already bald," he added.
The accusation was reinforced by the report from the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), which stated that the periodic test status of the bus had expired. This is based on the results of the check on the Mitra Darat application.
reveal the Head of the Legal and Public Relations Division of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Aznal.
In addition, Aznal said that the accident is also suspected to have occurred because the bus experienced brake failure and ultimately could not be controlled. One day after the accident, it is still unclear who the owner of PO Trans Putera Fajar is. Instead, information quickly spread on social media.
One of the allegations comes from the manager of the Instagram account @explorebuslovers, who mentioned that PO Trans Putera Fajar has changed owners six times. The account stated that Trans Putera Fajar buses were initially operated by PO Siliwangi Antar Nusantara (SAN). The management of the Putera Fajar fleet then transferred to PO Aldo Trans, which subsequently changed hands to a new manager, PO Jaya Guna Hage.
From PO Jaya Guna Hage, this bus changed ownership to PO Putera Pandawa Karya (PPK). Next, it changed ownership to PO Maulana Trans. Until the end, the company that controls the operation changed ownership status to PO Trans Putera Fajar.

Regarding the owner of PO Trans Putera Fajar, the police have not yet provided a complete explanation. The team is still waiting for the results of the investigation and crime scene processing from the accident that killed 10 vocational high school students in Depok."
The information about the owner of the Putera Fajar bus that was involved in an accident also came from the Instagram account manager of PO Bus Aldo Trans. The account explained that the bus unit involved in the accident was only held for one month. Meanwhile, the company's permit is under PT Hage Jaya Guna. The account manager confirmed that the bus unit had been sold to PO Putra Pandawa Karya. The bus was sold with valid documents, KIR (vehicle roadworthiness certificate), and Jasa Raharja (insurance). "The condition of the unit was only changed in terms of livery, not the body being rebuilt," wrote the account manager, who expressed condolences for the accident that happened in Ciater, Subang.
