Dream - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) plans to create a policy of a three-day holiday program per week specifically for employees in the ministry. Regulations for this policy are being prepared to assess the opportunities for its implementation in the field.

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises is also preparing a digital platform to support the three-day holiday program per week. According to Tedi, the digital platform will be implemented soon.
Tedi conveys that the extra holiday program aims to improve the welfare of employees of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, which is expected to ultimately have an impact on increasing productivity.
Employees of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises who have good performance will certainly receive extra holiday facilities.
"Certainly, well-being has become a key aspect that we need to pay attention to for our employees. And on the other hand, where we also want their productivity to increase. We need innovative programs, this is what we are currently doing at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises,""
he said.
Beforehand, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, in the event "BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) 2024," initiated a discussion on a three-day weekly holiday for employees of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.
Erick mentioned that 70 percent of the younger generation have mental health problems. Therefore, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises is promoting a program called "compress working schedule". If employees of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises have already worked more than 40 hours per week, Erick said that they have the alternative to take a day off on Fridays.
"We encourage this not to make you lazy. It's not a day off every Friday, yes. If you have worked more than 40 hours in a week, you can register, twice a month on every Friday as an alternative for a day off. We will do that."
