Kamrussamad explained the new government steps of Prabowo-Gibran by adding that the increase in the number of ministries must go through the revision of Law No.39 of 2008 regarding State Ministries.
He said, before implementing the discourse, the Government must discuss it together with the DPR, and listen to various academic studies, and receive input from the public.
"The government can propose to the DPR to discuss together. That's when we can listen to academic studies and government views and get input from the public,"

Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Institute For Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) Esther Sri Astuti, assesses that the structure of the cabinet with 40 ministries is too bloated or excessive. In addition, it is feared that in the future it will cause overlapping between related ministries.
"According to me, the cabinet is too overweight. The cabinet should be slimmer depending on its tasks so that there is no overlap, and each ministry should be examined one by one."
