Member of the BPH Migas Committee, Saleh Abdurrahman, said that subsidies should ideally be given to fuel products with a higher octane level or research octane number (RON).

In response to the discourse on the transfer of this subsidy, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga affirms that it will continue to distribute Pertalite fuel to the community in accordance with Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) ESDM No. 37.K/HK.02/MEM.M/2022 regarding Special Assignment Special Fuel (JBKP) dated March 10, 2022. As of April 2024, the realization of Pertalite distribution nationwide amounted to 9.9 million Kiloliters (KL), out of the total Pertalite quota in 2024 that has been determined by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) of 31.7 million KL.

While for the West Java Regional marketing area itself, it recorded the realization of Pertalite distribution amounting to 2.7 million KL until now (YTD).
