iPhone 15 Uses USB-C Port with Data Cable Color Matching the Phone Case

Even before the official announcement is made, netizens can 'see' its appearance beforehand.

One of the hot topics being discussed is that the iPhone 15 will come with a USB-C port, not the Lightning port like the previous series.

According to circulating rumors, this latest Apple phone will also be equipped with a USB-C data cable that has the same color as the phone.

This surprising news originated from a tweet by Majin Bu on Twitter, now known as X.

In the tweet, he shared a photo of a USB-C cable allegedly for the iPhone 15.

The USB-C data cable is available in several colors, such as pink, light blue, and black.

However, Majin Bu cannot verify its source because the photo originated from social media in China.

Shortly after that, the Apple device prototype collector known as Kosutami confirmed the rumor.

In his tweet on X, Kosutami claimed to have seen the Design Validation Test (DVT) sample of the USB-C cable.

Kosutami also stated that the USB-C cable will be available with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

The color of the data cable is also customized to match the color options of the two phones.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reports that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will also use USB-C cables in matching colors.

In his tweet on August 21, Kosutami showcased a photo of USB-C data cables in white, black, yellow, purple, and orange.

Except for the black cable, each cable has white-colored ends.

It seems that the USB-C cable for the iPhone 15 series will use a braided design. This will make the cable thicker and tangle-free.

The variety of color options for the data cable, other than white, and the use of the braided design is certainly good news for Apple fanboys who may be bored with the same colors in every release.
