Shopee Live, as the latest innovation released by Shopee, has not only been successfully utilized by this local brand established since 1989, but also by other entrepreneurs. Recently, Populix released research results stating that Shopee Live is the most frequently used live streaming feature by Indonesian people. This also proves that Shopee Live is the top choice of Indonesian consumers for comfortable and enjoyable shopping.
In a survey conducted by Populix in May 2023, it was revealed that 69 percent of respondents mentioned Shopee Live as the Brand Used Most Often (BUMO), the most frequently used brand for live shopping features by Indonesian people. Other live shopping platforms followed below, such as TikTok Live (25 percent), Tokopedia Play (4 percent), and LazLive (2 percent).
The research also states that 60 percent of respondents mentioned Shopee Live as the Top of Mind (TOM) brand, the brand that first comes to mind when talking about live streaming shopping in Indonesia, followed by TikTok Live (30 percent), LazLive (4 percent), and Tokopedia Play (2 percent).
Shopee Live is also the most frequently used live shopping feature for purchasing Fashion & Beauty products. In the Fashion category, Shopee Live is used by 79 percent of respondents, followed by TikTok Live (44 percent). In the Beauty category, Shopee Live is also the most frequently used live streaming feature by 71 percent of respondents, followed by TikTok Live (51 percent).
The live shopping feature on Shopee Live, which allows effective communication between sellers and buyers in real-time, makes the shopping experience more enjoyable for the public. Brands can directly meet all the information needs of buyers when they are choosing the products they want according to their needs.
