This is What Makes the Resale Price of Pajero Sport Remain High

Dream - Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is one of the most popular diesel SUVs in the country. Even in the used car market, Pajero Sport is one of the favorites because its resale price tends to remain stable.

Based on observations on several used car buying and selling sites, the price of 2018 Pajero Sport is around Rp400 million, while the 2021 model is still in the range of Rp500 million.

It should be noted that the new Pajero Sport is sold for around Rp500 million. So, the price of used ones currently does not differ much from new units.

According to Tetsuhiro Tsuchida, Director of Sales & Marketing Division PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), the high price of used Pajero Sport is inseparable from the quality of the product itself and the services provided by the manufacturer.

"All the services and facilities provided by Mitsubishi Motors to consumers in Indonesia, equipped with an official dealer network and vehicle repair facilities spread across Indonesia, will ensure the quality of the product and the high resale value of Mitsubishi vehicles, making it a good investment value for consumers," said Tsuchida some time ago.

Pajero Sport is equipped with the best engine in its class. For example, in the GLX 4x4 and Exceed 4x2 variants, Mitsubishi equips both variants with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder common rail turbo engine with the code 4D56.

The engine is capable of producing 136 PS of power at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 324 Nm at 2,000 rpm.

Meanwhile, the three variants above, namely Dakar and Dakar Ultimate, already use a diesel engine with the code 4N15 with a smaller capacity of 2.4 liters VGT-Intercooler. The power produced by this engine reaches 181 PS at 3,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 43.5 kgm.

In terms of safety, the New Pajero Sport is also equipped with the best features and safety systems. These features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), airbags, ISOFIX Child Seat, and immobilizer that are present in all types of New Pajero Sport.
