1. Being a Muslim

In order for Wudhu to be valid, one must first be a Muslim. Non-Muslims are not required to perform Wudhu. Therefore, being a Muslim is a mandatory requirement for almost all acts of worship.

2. Being Mentally Sound

Another condition for Wudhu is being mentally sound. This means that mentally ill individuals are not obligated to perform Wudhu. In order to perform prayer, a person must be conscious and have a functioning mind.

3. Reaching the Age of Puberty

Another condition for Wudhu is that a person has reached the age of puberty. Children and those who have not reached the stage of puberty are not obligated to perform Wudhu.
