Destroy Equipment After Influencer Eats Using Pork Crackers, Baso A Fung Stall at Ngurah Rai Airport Threatened to be Closed

Dream - Baso A Fung outlet at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport is threatened to be closed due to a viral video from influencer Jovi Adhiguna who ate halal meatballs mixed with pork crackers. 

Baso A Fung immediately destroyed all the bowls at the airport stall. However, the decision to destroy the bowls also caused complaints. 

A member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of Bali Province, Arya Wedakarna, said that there were complaints from Hindus in Bali who felt offended by the destruction of bowls carried out by Baso A Fung. 

Baso A Fung Licensing

After the meeting, there were recommendations and findings. First, Baso A Fung management has apologized for the bowl destruction video.

Second, Arya found licensing issues. Based on this finding, Arya plans to send a letter to the Badung Licensing Agency to give a warning to both Baso A Fung and Ngurah Rai Airport, which are considered negligent.

"Baso Afung at Ngurah Rai, precisely at my location, apparently according to information from Badung Regency, it has not fulfilled or has not included one of the permit components that must be included, namely NIB. Recommended Contract of Baso A Fung Outlet at the Airport Not to be Extended

Arya also asked the airport authorities to tighten regulations on passengers who create wild content. He recommended that all stalls are not allowed to create content and distribute content without airport management's permission.

Arya, who is often called Ajik, also considered a recommendation for the contract of Baso A Fung stall at Ngurah Rai Airport not to be extended, according to the request of Hindus who felt offended. According to him, there are still many tenants who can replace Baso A Fung's position at Ngurah Rai Bali Airport.

Reasons for Bowl Destruction

Previously, through their Instagram account, Baso A Fung explained the reason for the bowl destruction is to maintain the halal certification owned by Baso A Fung.

"As a form of our commitment to maintain the halal certification owned by Baso A Fung, we took the best step, which is to destroy all the eating utensils at Baso A Fung Domestic Departure stall at Ngurah Rai Bali Airport. We show the evidence of the destruction in the next slide," they said.

Jovi Adhiguna Apologizes

As a result of this uproar, Jovi Adhiguna has also apologized through his social media post. He admitted what he did and acknowledged that it was a very foolish act.

"Guys, I want to tell you and apologize as well. I've done something super stupid yesterday and I never thought it would be made into content and tagged me on TikTok."

He continued, "So, I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart to those who feel harmed or disturbed. It was purely my fault, I didn't think long enough, I was not thoughtful."

Jovi's apology was well received by some netizens. One of them even tried to explain the concept of halal.

"Actually, it's not because it's not allowed to mix (halal and non-halal food), but the eating utensils become impure according to Islam. The cleaning process is different than usual," he explained.
