Here are some privileges of people who die in the month of Ramadan:

Receiving Forgiveness of Sins

The first privilege is receiving forgiveness of sins. In this case, it is a person who dies with full faith in Allah SWT. So, their sins during their life in the world will be forgiven by Allah SWT.

Receiving Great Rewards

A person who dies in the month of Ramadan will also receive great rewards. This is as explained in Surah An-Nahl verse 97:

"Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while being a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do." (QS.An-Nahl: 97)

Can Enter Paradise

A person who dies in the month of Ramadan and in a state of fasting, then Allah SWT promises that they will enter paradise. As explained in a hadith narrated by Ahmad Hudzaifah ra as follows:

"Whoever fasts for a day only expecting the pleasure of Allah and dies in that state, then he enters paradise."

Do People Who Die in the Month of Ramadan Enter Paradise Immediately?

"Whoever says Laa ilaaha illallah sincerely hoping for the face of Allah, and he ends his life with this profession, then he enters paradise. Whoever fasts sincerely hoping for the face of Allah, and he ends his life with this fast, then he enters paradise. Whoever gives charity sincerely hoping for the face of Allah, and he ends his life with this charity, then he enters paradise." (HR. Ahmad)

Then in another hadith, the Prophet Muhammad said that when the month of Ramadan arrives, the gates of paradise are opened and the gates of hell are closed.

This hadith is explained by Muhammad bin Shaleh al-Utsaimin through the book Fatawaa ash-Shiyam, that the opened gates of paradise are a motivation for people to perform righteous deeds and make it easier for them to enter paradise. "They are people who do not seek ruqyah, do not seek treatment with amulets, do not seek omens, and they rely on their Lord. Besides that, they also fulfill their obligations in the form of righteous deeds."
