In her post, Syamsiah shared several photos that captured the meeting between Rayatia's family and the Frenchman named Abdullah.
In the photos, Abdullah came all the way from France with his mother, Aida, and his brother, Muhammad.
The three of them were seen at a resident's house in Dusun Tiga, Pasar Baru, Lekopadis Village, Tinambung District, Polewali Mandar Regency.
"(They) came for a visit and it seems like a plan to propose to the girl they got to know through social media only 3 months ago, starting from chatting since December 2022," Syamsiah wrote in her post.
In the photos she uploaded, the meeting between the cross-country families seemed very warm. Rayatia's family welcomed and entertained Abdullah's family.
In addition to the meeting with the family, Syamsiah also shared moments of togetherness between the Frenchman's family and the surrounding residents. They were seen taking photos with the residents in the neighborhood where Rayatia lives.
Abdullah, wearing a checkered pattern sarong, was seen taking photos with his brother, Muhammad, and the young people in Dusun Tiga.
According to the plan, Abdullah's French family will stay in Polewali Mandar for two months. The purpose is to discuss the engagement with Rayatia.
Rayatia's introduction to the French family started on Facebook. In December 2022, Rayatia got to know Abdullah's mother named Aida.
Their communication continued by exchanging WhatsApp numbers. Unexpectedly, Abdullah's mother really liked the girl from West Sulawesi.
Coincidentally, Abdullah's mother was currently looking for a partner for her son.
Long story short, after Abdullah's mother prayed istikharah, she found out that Rayatia was her son's match.
The mother of Abdullah then had intensive communication with Rayatia without involving her son.
Eventually, the mother of Abdullah expressed her desire to make Rayatia her daughter-in-law.
However, Rayatia admitted that she couldn't get married yet. Besides still being in school, Rayatia is also considered underage.
Nevertheless, the mother of Abdullah didn't mind. She asked Rayatia to finish her school.
Moreover, her son is also 16 years old, or one year older than the girl from Polewali Mandar.
The seriousness of Abdullah's family was then proven when they came all the way to Indonesia.
"Initially, this girl became friends with Abdullah's mother and Abdullah's mother liked this girl, and finally intended to match her with her son, and her son agreed with his mother," said Syamsiah.
It is known that the French foreign family arrived in Makassar on March 28, 2023. They were then picked up and taken to Rayatia's house on Friday, March 31, 2023.

According to Ratna, Rayatia's biological mother, her daughter and Abdullah can get married even though they are underage after obtaining permission from the local KUA head. The condition is that Rayatia is ready to get married.
