Not Tired of Searching, Former High School Student Looks for Teacher Who Helped Pay for Her College Tuition 36 Years Ago

Dream - Besides parents, teachers are individuals outside the family whose love for their students may be irreplaceable. Besides not expecting any reward for the lessons they give, some teachers are willing to help their students in any way possible if they show a desire to progress.

The help they provide can be in the form of financial assistance so that their students can receive a better education. Seeing their students live a better life brings the greatest joy to a teacher.

Although they provide assistance willingly, sometimes a student may have the desire to repay that kindness. Just like what a student did by searching for her teacher for the past 36 years.

According to World of Buzz, a woman is searching for her teacher who helped her continue her education to a higher level. More than 3.5 decades ago, the teacher used her own money to help pay for the university registration fees that her student wanted to pursue.

Through her Facebook social media account, Norasiah Jamil is searching for her teacher by describing the characteristics and the school she attended in the past.

"Still searching until now, Cikgu Pak Lin Hau, my chemistry teacher when I was in Form 5, teaching at SMKAA (SMK Alor Akar) Kuantan, SPM 1987," she wrote.

Norasiah also mentioned that her teacher's husband is from Sekinchan, Selangor. She hopes that people from that area can receive the information that she is currently searching for her teacher.

In her post, Norasiah explains her reasons for searching for her high school teacher even though 36 years have passed. She feels indebted to the teacher who supported her throughout her school years.

"I owe her because she was one of the people who supported me when I wanted to enter UTM. I was determined to drop out of school because my family couldn't afford it (we had just moved to Felda in 1986) even though I had received an offer," she revealed.

At that time, the teacher was willing to spend a sum of money to help her pay for the university registration fees.

"She was willing to use her own money along with the PIBG funds to pay for my registration at UTM in 1988," she added.

Her efforts have finally paid off. Norasiah has obtained information about the whereabouts of her teacher. In fact, she has already scheduled a meeting with the person who has changed her life.

"SHE HAS BEEN FOUND! Thank you to all my friends who sent me WhatsApp messages, from Kuantan to England," she wrote.

Norasiah also expressed her heartfelt gratitude for her teacher's kindness, which she will always remember as long as she lives.

"She touched my heart with her kindness, which I will always remember for the rest of my life. It may be a small thing to her, but it was a life-changing act for me," she said.
