“The perpetrator then woke up the victim who was sleeping. Then he forced the victim to drink the water mixed with the poison called putas. After that, the victim went to the pond to feed the shrimp,” explained the Police Chief.

About 30 minutes later, the perpetrator returned home and saw his wife having seizures. Apparently, he tried to save the victim by giving her water from a young coconut. 

Then, the victim was taken by the perpetrator's parents to the Sub-district Health Center. “When they arrived there, it turned out that the victim had already passed away,” said the Police Chief.

This graduate of Akpol 2001 explained that the motive for the perpetrator to kill his wife was due to the affair and resentment. The victim was considered an obstacle to marrying the victim's biological younger sister, identified as A (17), who is still a student.

Apparently, before marrying the victim, the perpetrator had a romantic relationship with the victim's biological younger sister and often engaged in a marital-like relationship.
