Dream - Most young people are interested in becoming a Civil Servant (PNS) or what is now cooler known as a Civil Servant Apparatus (ASN).
Stable salary, various attractive allowances, and the ability to retire until the end of life and pass it on to children and grandchildren are the attractions of this ASN profession.
However, a different story is revealed by a health sector civil servant from Lampung named Chairani Maula.
A woman who works as a dental nurse complains about the difficulties of life as a civil servant.
Even so, she is still grateful when many say that being a civil servant is an easy life.
"May Allah, if someone says it's easy, then they should become a civil servant. Alhamdulillah, but people don't know what's behind the scenes," she said.
Being the only civil servant among 7 siblings, a woman who is familiarly called Ginda has become the breadwinner of her family.
Moreover, Ginda has been a civil servant since she was a girl and eventually married a husband who is also a civil servant.
"I've been a civil servant since I was a girl, my husband is a civil servant, but life is still the same, still difficult.
"No savings, still using an old motorcycle for work, and still thin," she wrote in a video.
Ginda said that she and her siblings were able to go to college not because their parents had a lot of money.
But because she and her siblings were willing to endure hunger while studying. It can even be said as a desperate measure.
Why? Ginda and her siblings had to endure hunger during school because they only received a weekly allowance of Rp100,000 to Rp200,000.
"Sometimes we were only given Rp50,000. The important thing is to be able to go to school. I can still endure hunger," she said.
It is known that Ginda's father is only an online motorcycle taxi driver. While her mother is a regular housewife.
In the video, Ginda shared a moment when her older brother named Satria graduated.
This brother of hers studied at Siliwangi University and whenever there was an activity on campus or in the boarding house, he always asked Ginda to transfer money.
Even though it was difficult because she was already married, Ginda still made an effort to send money for her brother's education.
Her brother has asked for money transfer countless times. Starting from Rp50,000, Rp200,000, up to the largest amount of Rp6 million.
Ginda even pawned her bracelet to get only Rp1 million to help her brother who needed money.
"From small to large amounts of money, it always comes back to me. Alhamdulillah, people think I'm well-off, but I feel like crying every day," she said.
Ginda then shared a story about a day when there was absolutely no rice at home. But people still said they didn't have rice.
Finally, Ginda had to use the rice reserve money at her house to buy rice for her parents.
Ginda also once only ate rice and kangkung vegetable for a whole month because she really had no money.
However, she is still grateful for her situation because she has a stable salary even though the amount is just enough.
"Because of my economic situation, it's not that good. Only a small salary as a low-ranking civil servant. It's just enough to live on.
"Alhamdulillah, I'm still grateful to have a stable job," she said.
Ginda's gratitude grew as all six of her siblings were able to go to school and college.
However, Ginda still feels sad about the state of education in Indonesia.
"They say education is mandatory for 12 years. But in my area, we still have to pay for it.
"Even the junior high school to high school diplomas of my siblings are still being held by the school because we haven't been able to pay," she concluded.
