Indonesian Citizens in Malaysia Can Now Register for Hajj Through Bank Muamalat

Dream - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk now provides online hajj registration services for Indonesian diaspora in Malaysia. Diaspora customers can now open a Hajj Savings Account (RTJH) and make the initial payment for regular hajj quota through the Muamalat DIN application.

President Director of Bank Muamalat Indra Falatehan said that the potential of Indonesian hajj pilgrims in Malaysia is very large. This potential will be maximized by Bank Muamalat by providing easy hajj registration services, where Indonesian citizens in Malaysia can register for hajj simply through their smartphones.

“From a technological and service perspective, we are very ready to accommodate the hajj registration needs of our brothers and sisters in Malaysia. We also highly appreciate the support from various parties including the Ministry of Religious Affairs, BPKH, and the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia, which has made this service possible," said Indra in his statement on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

Indra explained that the Ministry of Religious Affairs supports this initiative by providing access to Bank Muamalat, so that the hajj registration system of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Siskohat and Haji Pintar) can be done overseas.

This service was introduced during a gathering between the Hajj Financial Management Board (BPKH), Bank Muamalat, and Indonesian diaspora representatives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently.

In addition, Bank Muamalat has also collaborated with BPKH in terms of transparency of information regarding the value and benefits of the hajj funds deposited. The BPKH Virtual Account (BPKH VA) application has been connected to the Muamalat DIN application.

Through this collaboration, prospective hajj pilgrims, both Bank Muamalat customers and non-customers, can use the Hajj Bank menu in Muamalat DIN to view the current value and benefits of their hajj deposits.

Bank Muamalat also offers banking products for people who want to plan their hajj pilgrimage, called Tabungan iB Hijrah Haji. People can also prepare for their children's pilgrimage with this Tabungan iB Hijrah Haji, so that their children can save from an early age and perform their pilgrimage in prime condition at a young age.
