كَــلأَمٌ قَدِيمٌ لَا يُمَلُّ سَمَاعُهُ

Kalâmun qodîmu lâ yumallu samâ’uhu

Meaning: The Al-Quran is the eternal word of Allah that is never boring to be listened to.

تَنَــزَّهَ عَنْ قَوْلٍ وَفِعْلٍ ونِيَّةٍ

Tanazzaha ‘an qaulin wa fi’lin wa niyyati

Meaning: It is purified from speech, actions, and intentions.

بِهِ أَشْتَفِى مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَنُوْرُهُ

Bihi asytafî min kulli dâ-in wa nûruhu

Meaning: Through it (Al-Quran), I seek healing from all diseases and the light of the Al-Quran.

دَلِيْلٌ لِقَلْبِي عِنْدَ جَهْلٍ وَحَيْرَةٍ

Dalîlun liqolbî ‘inda jahlî wa hairotî

Meaning: It is a guide for my heart when I am in ignorance and confusion.

فَيَـا رَبِّ مَتِّعْنِي بِسِرِّ حُرُوْفِهِ

Fayâ robbi matti’nî bisirri hurûfihi

Meaning: O my Lord, grant me with the secret within the letters of the Al-Quran.

وَنَوِّرْ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَسَمْعِى وَمُقْلَتِيْ

Wa nawwir bihi qolbî wa sam’î wa muqlatî

Meaning: And with the Al-Quran, illuminate my heart, hearing, and sight.

وَيَارَبِّ يَا فَتَّاحُ إِِفْتَحْ قُلُوبَنَا

Wa yâ robbi yâ fattâhu iftah qulûbanâ

Meaning: O Lord, the Most Opener, open our hearts.

وَفَهِّمْ بِهِ قَلْبِى عُلُوْمَ الشَّرِيْعَةِ

Wa fahhim bihi qolbî ‘ulûmasy-syarîati

Meaning: And with it (Al-Quran), make this heart understand the knowledge of the sharia.

وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ يَا إِلٰهِى لِمُنْذِرِ

Wa sholli wa sallim yâ ilâhî limundziri

Meaning: Send prayers and peace, O my Lord, to the caller (Prophet Muhammad saw).

عَدَدَ حُرُوْفٍ بِالْقُرْاٰنِ وَالسُّوْرَةِ

'Adada hurûfin bil qur-âni was-sûroti

Meaning: As many as the letters and surahs of the Al-Quran.
