Unable to bear reading the defense plea, Mario Dandy's voice sounded soft. He couldn't hold back tears when mentioning his parents.

Mario regrets that his actions of assaulting David Ozora have had a significant impact on his family's life.

"I apologize to both of my parents, especially to my father, who has been affected by my actions and has faced difficulties because of me. Especially to my mother, who has truly experienced the bitterness caused by my actions," said Mario.

His father, Rafael Alun Trisambodo, had to face the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) because he possessed assets deemed unreasonable. Rafael Alun is now also behind bars, just like him.

"Not a minute goes by without thinking about my parents who hope that their child can grow and develop towards a better direction, but instead, I have caused deep wounds. I never stop regretting it, because of my actions, my mother is left alone fighting for me and my father," he said.

Not only that, he also apologized to David Ozora's family for his actions. He admitted that he often prays for David's health.

"I always ask for forgiveness from God and pray that David can recover soon and be given good health. I believe that David's recovery can happen as written in the Bible. For with God, nothing is impossible," said David.

Mario Dandy Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison and Ordered to Pay Restitution of Rp120 Billion

Dream - The Public Prosecutor's Office (JPU) has demanded a 12-year prison sentence for Mario Dandy, the defendant in the severe assault case against David Ozora. The demand was made because his actions caused the victim to suffer serious injuries.

"Imposing a prison sentence for the defendant Mario Dandy Satriyo alias Dandy for a period of 12 years," said the JPU Team at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

In addition to the prison sentence, Mario is also required to pay restitution amounting to Rp120 billion for the actions that have caused David Ozora physical suffering up to the present.

"The defendant is demanded to pay restitution of Rp120 billion," said the JPU.

The prosecutor continued, if Mario is unable to pay, it will be replaced with an additional 7-year prison sentence.

"If he does not pay, he will be given an additional 7-year prison sentence," the JPU revealed.

After the demand was made, the prosecutor requested that Mario be kept in custody according to the regulations.

In this case, the prosecutor considered the defendant to have violated Article 355 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1 of the Criminal Code regarding severe assault committed with premeditation.

"Mario Dandy has been proven guilty of committing the crime of severe assault with premeditation," said the prosecutor.

Previously, the prosecutor charged Mario Dandy with the offense of severe assault accompanied by premeditation against Cristalino David Ozora (17).

During the incident, Mario was accompanied by Shane Lukas Rotua Pangondian Lumbantoruan alias Shane (19) and AG's child (15).

Mario Dandy Satriyo alias Dandy's actions are criminal acts regulated and punishable under Article 355 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1 of the Criminal Code.

Or Article 76 C in conjunction with Article 80 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
