Thanks to its Commitment to Building the Sharia Economy, BSI Wins 68 Awards

Various collaborations and strategic programs are evidence that PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) continues to demonstrate its commitment to building the sharia financial ecosystem in Indonesia. Thanks to this, BSI has won 68 awards in 2023, counted until August 2023.

The awards received by BSI include 'The Best Financial Performance Bank in 2022 (KBMI 3) Asset > IDR 200 Trillion and Excellent Financial Performance Bank in 2022' at the Infobank Banking Appreciation 2023 event organized by Infobank Media Group, and 'The Most Outstanding Bank Syariah' at the Bisnis Indonesia Financial Award 2023 event.

BSI's President Director, Hery Gunardi, expresses his gratitude for the various awards received by BSI.

"Thank you to those who have appreciated our performance at Bank Syariah Indonesia through this award. Of course, we dedicate this award to stakeholders, employees, and customers spread from Sabang-Merauke. Because without them, we would not have received this award," said Hery at the Infobank Banking Appreciation 2023 event at the Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan Hotel, Jakarta (25/8).

Show Good Digitalization Progress

According to the judges, BSI has shown good progress in digitalization and corporate governance. Not only that, BSI also recorded solid financing of Rp207.12 trillion. In addition, BSI has also shown good financial performance growth with a profit of Rp4.26 trillion, or a significant growth of 40.68%. This financial performance has brought BSI above the industry average in 2022.

Regarding this matter, Hery expressed his pride in the rapid growth of Islamic banking, enabling it to compete with conventional banks.

"Today, BSI as an Islamic bank can compete with conventional banks that are also in the KBMI-3 league," said Hery Gunardi.

Prove Its Central Role as the Vanguard of the Sharia Ecosystem's Growth

Ignasius Jonan, Infobank Expert Council, said that BSI has also proven its central role as the vanguard of the growth of the sharia and halal financial ecosystem by continuously sharpening its presence in the national and international financial markets. Jonan hopes that BSI will continue to participate in the development of the sharia financial ecosystem not only in Indonesia but also on the international stage.

"We hope that BSI will continue to be a pioneer in the growth of the sharia financial ecosystem in Indonesia and bring the domestic sharia banking to the global financial industry," said Jonan.

On the other hand, Raden Pardede, a member of the Jury Council of the Bisnis Indonesia Financial Award 2023, stated that the BIFA 2023 event focuses on the direction of digitalization and financial inclusion because the financial sector in the future will be influenced by the strategic role of digital aspects.

Jonan hopes that BSI can continue to participate in developing the sharia financial ecosystem not only in Indonesia but also on the international stage.
