Viral Recording of the Voice of Mbah Slamet's Money Doubling Victim in Banjarnegara

Draem - The case of serial killings by a money doubling dukun named Tohari alias Mbah Slamet in Banjarnegara, Central Java, continues to attract the attention of netizens.

Based on investigations, the number of Mbah Slamet's victims reached 12 people. The victims were found buried in Mbah Slamet's field in Balun Village, Wanayasa District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java.

This serial murder case was uncovered thanks to a report from GE, the child of one of the victims with the initials PO, aged 53 years old. GE reported that his father went missing on March 27, 2023.

This report is based on a voice message sent by the victim via WhatsApp to GE's younger sibling, SL, on March 24, 2023, informing that they were at Mbah Slamet's house.

Victim PO instructed that if they did not return by Sunday, March 26, 2023, their children were asked to go to Mbah Slamet's house accompanied by authorities.

GE's report prompted the Banjarnegara Police Criminal Investigation Unit to immediately conduct an investigation, leading to the discovery of PO's buried body on a footpath towards the forest in Balun Village on April 1, 2023.

The examination results stated that PO was killed by Mbah Slamet by giving them a drink mixed with Potassium Cyanide poison. This was done because the perpetrator was annoyed by continuous demands from the victim.

Namely, Mbah Slamet promised to multiply the money from Rp70 million to Rp5 billion.

Later, a voice message sent by the victim Mbah Slamet to their child went viral on social media, one of which was uploaded by the Instagram account @instambanjarnegara.

"The murder context in Banjarnegara, I was really crying when listening to the voice note from the victim to their child, I can't imagine how scared the victim was at that time, it was really heartbreaking to hear," they wrote.

In the voice message, the victim sounds scared and reports the location where they are, namely at Mbah Slamet's house.

The victim mentioned that they sent the voice message because they felt wary that something bad might happen to them.

Moreover, the father at that time went to Mbah Slamet's residence alone without any friends or aides accompanying him.

The victim also felt terrified, especially in the forest they passed through, the victim admitted feeling very sleepy. In fact, the victim became even sleepier when sitting in Mbah Slamet's house until their head hung down on the mat.

They felt that it was not normal. They also hoped that they would be safe.
