"Concrete Evidence that Emotions Affect Health"
Let's see how emotions can affect someone's health!
Let's see how emotions can affect someone's health!
Every emotion experienced by an individual depends on how their body and mind interpret the situation. Emotions play an important role in daily life. Understanding and managing emotions well can help prevent negative impacts on mental and physical health.
Emotions can be divided into two categories, namely basic emotions and complex emotions. Basic emotions include feelings such as happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, surprise, and anger. On the other hand, complex emotions encompass feelings that do not have universal facial expressions, such as envy, love, shame, jealousy, gratitude, guilt, pride, worry, and regret.
The goal is to move the individual's body. Every emotion felt by someone has been designed to trigger certain reactions in the body, which are triggered by organized sensations and impulses.
In understanding the impact of emotions on mental health, it is important to realize that no emotion is entirely negative or bad. Negative emotions can essentially be seen as signals that something is wrong and needs improvement. When someone is able to recognize and manage those emotions well, it creates resilience. On the other hand, the inability to feel negative emotions can result in unrealistic expectations, which can ultimately disrupt mental health.
Individuals with a positive outlook on life tend to have better overall physical health, including lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels, as well as a lower risk of heart disease. However, researchers have not yet fully understood whether positive emotions cause improved health or if good health leads to positive emotional experiences.
Fixing emotional management can be done by being more open in acknowledging feelings, restructuring thoughts, spending more time in nature, prioritizing sleep, trying mindfulness meditation, and applying relaxation techniques.
