Losmen Bu Broto Presents New Characters and Actors

Dream - Successful in 2021, the film Losmen Bu Broto will be presented in a new version. Ideosource Entertainment and Paragon Pictures, with the support of Kapanlagi Youniverse, are ready to continue this story into a series.

This series will present a deeper story with unique and more captivating appeal for the audience.

Paragon Pictures is committed to bringing high-quality production and ensuring that this adaptation meets the expectations of loyal fans with warmth, emotion, and humor that have become the characteristics of Losmen Bu Broto.

Losmen Bu Broto was originally adapted from a television series by Tatiek Maliyati and Wahyu Sihombing. Like the film, this series has received support from the family.

Executive Producer Ideosource Entertainment, Andi Boediman, in his written statement on Friday, June 16, 2023, stated that the film Losmen Bu Broto has received incredible support and love from the audience, making him feel proud and excited to continue this journey by adapting Losmen Bu Broto into a series.

"With the series format, we have the opportunity to explore the characters and family roles in the big conflicts in life at Losmen Bu Broto," he said.

Robert Ronny, Executive Producer of Paragon Pictures, revealed that in an effort to enrich the world of Losmen Bu Broto, this serial will bring some fresh faces to the Losmen Bu Broto series.

"In this serial, we will introduce characters who join the Losmen Bu Broto family, providing new dimensions to the story and enhancing the dynamics between characters," said Robert Ronny.

"We are very excited to involve famous stars who will bring joy and fresh tension to the Losmen Bu Broto series, while still maintaining the essence and warmth that have become characteristic of the film. With the combination of new energy from the stars and the presence of familiar characters, we believe that the Losmen Bu Broto series will be an unforgettable story," he added.

CEO of KLY, Steve Christian, stated their interest in the Losmen Bu Broto project because of the story that highlights Indonesian culture and the achievements that the film has attained.

Furthermore, according to Steve, Losmen Bu Broto has achieved several awards, including Piala Citra, Indonesian Movie Awards, Festival Film Tempo, and Piala Maya.

"The extraordinary actors and actresses, as well as the previous awards, including the script and acting, reflect the beauty of simplicity and highlight the original values of Indonesians that are sometimes overlooked in the modern era. Simplicity is indeed a timeless beauty. Isn't it said: beauty is in simplicity?" said Steve Christian.

The director of Bu Broto, Arwin Wardhana, promised to provide a relevant touch with a fresh and innovative serial format.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining visual consistency between the film and the serial version of Losmen Bu Broto. He believes that this series will have a different color and uniqueness from other series.

"We will maintain the visual consistency that is the common thread. Although this is a serial, we still adopt visual concepts like in the film. The Losmen Bu Broto series will be one of the current series with a light yet strong story in terms of culture, especially Javanese culture," said Arwin Wardhana.

List of Cast Members

Meanwhile, the cast of the Bu Broto series will still feature Maudy Koesnaedi as Bu Broto and Mathias Muchus as Pak Broto.

Maudy expressed her joy in seeing the continuation of her story as Bu Broto in this series. For her, the role of Bu Broto is the biggest challenge compared to other roles.

"From the beginning, we did have plans to continue Losmen Bu Broto. I am very happy to see those plans come true. I am very excited to be able to experience the warmth of the Bu Broto family again, just like when we produced the film," said Maudy.

"This opportunity presents a great challenge for me to portray a character different from before and not be confined to the stereotype of my patient characters," added Maudy.

Mathias Muchus also expressed his emotional feelings for being able to portray the character of Pak Broto again. For him, his involvement in Losmen has a long history.

"Every time I talk about Losmen, it always feels melancholic because I have a long history with this project. My feelings are very turbulent and emotional, as if I am coming home with my new family now. Of course, I also feel happy, excited, and full of enthusiasm to keep Losmen in a good position in the hearts of the people," said Mathias Muchus.

Furthermore, Baskara Mahendra feels challenged in his role as Tarjo in this series because his character has a more significant role.

"I am very excited to see the development of family dynamics and how Tarjo plays an important role in building a strong bond among them. This provides an opportunity to explore universal aspects of family life and depict the dynamics of the relationship between parents and children," said Baskara.

New Cast Members

Then there is a new face, Ayushita, replacing Putri Marino as Mbak Pur. Ayushita feels honored to be offered the role of Mbak Pur in the series Losmen Bu Broto.

"I am very interested because Losmen Bu Broto is one of the very popular works with a good story, just like the film. The quality is extraordinary. And I feel very honored to be part of the Bu Broto family," said Ayushita.

Febby Rastanty joins the series Losmen Bu Broto and will play Jeng Sri, replacing Maudy Ayunda.

Through her role, she expresses respect for the characters that have been embodied by her predecessors.

"I am honored and excited to portray Jeng Sri in the series Losmen Bu Broto. I am committed to bringing a new interpretation and bringing Jeng Sri's character to life with deep emotional dimensions in every episode of this series," said Febby.

New Characters

Marthino Lio feels like coming home when reprising the character of Jarot.

"I am very happy and grateful for the opportunity to reprise the character of Jarot in the Losmen Bu Broto series. Jarot is a character that I love very much and has become part of my career journey. Returning to this series feels like coming home," said Marthino.

In addition to new cast members, the Bu Broto series also introduces a new character named Anna, portrayed by Wulan Guritno.

"I am interested in being involved in the Losmen Bu Broto series because of its interesting story, complex characters, and working with a talented team. I hope to contribute well in bringing this story to the audience," said Wulan Guritno.

In addition, Sisca JKT48 also joins Losmen Bu Broto as Sekar, who will often interact with Tarjo.

"When I watched the film Losmen Bu Broto, I immediately liked it. I am always interested in films that highlight Javanese culture. So, I am very grateful to have the opportunity to play in this series. During the shooting process, it feels warm and full of family," said Sisca.

"Although I have only been here for a few days, it feels like I have known the other cast members for a long time. I am also grateful to be involved in this project with senior and accomplished actors and actresses," added Sisca.

Then there is Augie Fantinus who will play Partono in this series. He feels challenged by the character he will portray.

"I really like the film Losmen Bu Broto when I watched it. I like the film and the actors as well. So, I feel proud and happy to be involved in this series, especially in playing the character Partono, previously played by Didi Petet. This is an interesting challenge for me to play it well," he said.
