Rhoma Irama Requires His Employees to Pray, If They Don't Pray They Can't Be in Soneta

Dream - Rhoma Irama always ensures that his employees who are part of Soneta Group continue to pray, including when performing outside the city or abroad.

"Always, especially when we tour outside the city, even abroad, it has become our habit to always pray in congregation," said Rhoma Irama, quoted from YouTube Maia Al El Dul TV.

Rhoma invites all of his employees to pray in congregation, so every time they perform, they always request a special room from the organizer.

"Therefore, in every hotel, we always request a room for congregational prayer," he said.

For Rhoma Irama, prayer is the most important thing. So for anyone of his employees who cannot fulfill that rule, it is better not to join him.

"Everyone prays, no one does not pray. If you don't pray, you can't be in Soneta," he said.

Rhoma appeared in a black suit and an electric guitar. He performed the song 'Butter' with his own style and distinctive vocal style.

Rhoma Irama Secretly Confused in Choosing a Religion

Dream - Rhoma Irama revealed his teenage years when he was 17 years old. The man known as the King of Dangdut admitted that he was confused in choosing a religion.

It happened because Rhoma attended a Christian school from junior high to senior high school. As a result, Rhoma learned about Christianity and Catholicism.

"Because I attended a Christian junior high school. In Medan, at St. Paulus. In Jakarta, I attended PSKD high school, a Catholic school. Why did my parents enroll me there? Because it was the best. At that time, there was no Al Azhar (in Indonesia)," said Rhoma Irama, quoted from Dream's YouTube channel with Deddy Corbuzier, Thursday, June 9, 2022.

"So, I learned all of that there, lessons about Christianity and Catholicism. The Lord's Prayer, you know," he added.

Studying two religions, Islam and Christianity, made Rhoma Irama restless at that time. He was confused about which religion to choose.

"So, something emerged, I am traditionally a Muslim since birth. I thought, I have to choose which religion is the right one," said Rhoma.

To convince himself, Rhoma delved into the Quran and the Bible to strengthen his heart. Rhoma even rented a hotel for two weeks to study Islam and Christianity.

"Finally, I stayed at a hotel for two weeks. At that time, it was the Hilton Hotel, now it's the Sultan Hotel. Also, the Hotel Indonesia, now it's the Kempinski. I read the Bible and the Quran, at the age of 17, because of this confusion," said Rhoma Irama.

"Both of them are certainly correct, it's impossible for both to be wrong. Both are good. If one is right, then it's impossible for the other to be wrong, so I delved into it. Finally, I chose Islam," he said.
