Dream - After the success of its first series, the streaming platform Vidio is bringing back the second sequel of the web series Turn On.

Collaborating again with production house Screenplay Films, this film directed by Anika Maharani will soon be released on June 23, 2023.

Tia Hendani, Head Of Originals at Vidio, said that the second sequel to Turn On is a response to the high interest and enthusiasm of viewers in the first series of Turn On, which has been watched up to 5 million times.

"Because we see the demand and feedback from Vidio viewers, we want to provide the best entertainment. So, we are confident that Turn On 2 is highly anticipated," said Tia at the Press Screening event for Turn On 2, recently.

Anika Marani, the director, said that the second season of Turn On is expected to bring a more interesting story. She mentioned that there will be new characters that will make the story more dramatic and complicated.

"If asked what the advantages are, here maybe it's more interesting. Because we, together with the team, made it as interesting as possible, with a more relatable story and the addition of new characters that will make the audience wonder what and why," said Anika.

Addressing Mental Health Issues

In Turn On 2, viewers will be presented with the lives of Andreas and Maria after they get married. One of the stories is about Maria's feelings of insecurity due to the physical changes she experiences during pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Andreas is dealing with his own problems as he is about to become a father.

Playing the role of Maria, Clara Bernadeth admits that her character in this second sequel makes her appear as an individual who is trying to love herself.

"The character Ria is insecure and inferior, when she got married to Andreas she had never met his extended family. So when she meets Andreas' family members who are more accomplished, there is a feeling of insecurity. Especially Ria's emotions as a pregnant woman are more influenced by her feelings, so there is a feeling of not being enough, not being beautiful enough, not being enough for Andreas," Clara said.

"So in season 2, Maria will learn to love herself," she added.

Meanwhile, Giorgino Abraham, who plays Andreas, said that his character in season 2 will be very different from the first series.

"Andreas here is like entering a new phase of his life, where he has to think about everything. Oh yeah, if he doesn't work, it turns out there's pressure too, especially seeing his wife who works, more productive, and on the other hand, he will become a father here," said Giorgino.

This series is also starred by talented young Indonesian stars, such as Giorgino Abraham (Andreas), Clara Bernadeth (Maria), Sonia Alyssa (Zie Zie), Erika Carlina (Flora), Jonathan Andriano (Dicko), and other famous artists.

Don't forget to watch the web series Turn On 2, which is scheduled to be exclusively available on the Vidio platform starting Friday, June 23, 2023, with a total of 8 episodes airing every Friday.
