Shivering, Venna Melinda Tells the Moments of Experiencing Domestic Violence from Ferry Irawan

Dream - Venna Melinda tells the moments when she experienced Domestic Violence from her husband, Ferry Irawan.

According to Venna, the incident happened when they were staying at a hotel in Kediri, East Java. Venna visited Kediri for political matters because she was running for the position as a member of the DPR (People's Representative Council).

"I was waiting for the people of Tulungagung until 10 o'clock. Since 6 in the morning, he has been fussing about unimportant things," said Venna Melinda as quoted from Pagi Pagi Ambyar Trans TV, Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

"Because every day, if I have no work in my electoral district, I serve well. I complain, I just want to work, please support me," she added.

However, the commotion didn't stop, after Venna Melinda finished getting ready, she and Ferry Irawan got into an argument again.

"Fighting, fighting, fighting, until 7 o'clock, then I finished getting ready and there was another argument about the door. Just a door problem can cause an argument, so I started to get tired because I wanted to meet the people, I had to be calm," said Venna. 

Then, Ferry threatened to leave Venna Melinda. Since the threat came out of Ferry Irawan's mouth, this mother of two decided to end everything with Ferry Irawan.

"Finally, there was another argument and he said something like 'I will accompany you for three nights, after that you will live alone.' He threatened to leave, 'Why not now?' I said," she said.

But when Venna agreed to Ferry Irawan's threat, the actor of the film 'Cintaku Selamanya' became even angrier. They ended up having a big fight.

"Finally, we fought fiercely as usual because I resisted, he lifted my body, pushed me onto the bed, and then pinned me down so that my lower legs couldn't move," said Venna Melinda.

"He held my hand and pressed my nose bone with his forehead. That's when I went from being conscious, staring at the ceiling, to darkness, and I said my nose was broken. Because he is used to hearing my code words, he let go. As soon as he let go, I got up and blood was gushing. I was also surprised and he was surprised," she added.

After seeing Venna Melinda bleeding heavily, Ferry Irawan tried to clean up. But Venna pushed her husband because he was trying to remove the evidence.

"First, he wanted to wipe the blood and remove the evidence. That's when I pushed him away, I said I want to call my mother," she said.

But Venna's plan to contact her family was hindered by Ferry. The man whose full name is Raden Ferry Irawan Kusuma snatched Venna's mobile phone. 

Venna then tried to escape by running out and asking for help outside the room. 

"Then the blood was gushing, and when I should have been weak, Allah gave me the strength to run like a deer and ask for help. Help me, help me, but no one helped, maybe because it was Sunday, maybe the neighbor was having breakfast," said Venna.

While running out of the room, Venna met the hotel staff. Unfortunately, the hotel staff moved away because they were afraid of Ferry who asked them to leave.

Not getting any help, Venna returned to the room to look for her mobile phone. Once again, her husband thwarted her efforts. Then Ferry pushed her to the end of the hotel room wall. 

"After that, he grabbed me and pushed me to the end of the wall. At that moment, I felt like I was going to die, he was already out of control. When I said that, I looked into his eyes and said, 'Don't kill me, remember you have a mother and a younger sister.' When I said that, his eyes changed as if he realized something," said Venna Melinda.

Taking the opportunity, this 50-year-old woman contacted anyone in her mobile phone contacts. And the person she managed to contact was the Chairman of her party's Regional Board.

"I took the mobile phone again and pressed whoever answered. Luckily, I pressed the video call button for the Chairman of the Central Board of my party. And there, he saw me covered in blood, please call the police," said Venna Melinda.

Then, the janitor who had seen Venna Melinda when she asked for help came to the room with security guards.

"The janitor and the security guard have come, ma'am," said Venna.

While crying, Venna Melinda said she still remembers every second when she experienced domestic violence from Ferry Irawan.

She is grateful that she still received help from the Almighty because she was able to run and ask for help when experiencing domestic violence. 

"Qadarullah, Allah still loves me. I could still run, I could still ask for help, I still tried to find a way to contact someone. In those moments, only Allah was there for me. Allah made everything easier for me, I could still do the medical examination, go to the police station myself, I remember every second," she said.
