So Simple! Sheila On 7's Ambassador Eats at a Warung, the Seller Even Salting

Dream - There have been countless stories depicting the simplicity of Sheila On 7's vocalist, Duta. Despite being a celebrity from a famous Indonesian band, Duta doesn't consider his status as something special. 

Instead, Duta continues to present himself as an ordinary person living a life like most people in his hometown, Yogyakarta. This is also true during the month of Ramadan.

In a video uploaded by the TikTok account @menatunya_pakhamin, a young man believed to be Duta is seen enjoying life by eating at a Warung Tegal (Warteg). In the recording, Duta can be seen eating white rice. 

Duta's appearance is simple, wearing only an AC Milan football club jersey, a blue cap, long pants, and carrying a tote bag.

When a famous artist visited, the owner of the Warung immediately felt awkward welcoming the singer who has many fans. He never expected to meet his idol in person eating at his warung.

The warung owner felt lucky because he didn't have to queue to watch the concert, but his idol came to his place.

"When people want to see his concert and have to queue to buy tickets, I was visited directly by the singer and he ate at my warteg. I still can't believe it, thank you Mas Duta," wrote the Eti Tania account as quoted by Dream, on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Immediately the post of the owner's account was crowded with comments from netizens. Many of them are not surprised by the simplicity of the vocalist.

Teased by a Beautiful Woman, Sheila On 7 Ambassador Feels Awkward: Why Praise Me Like My Daughter's Age

Dream - Sheila On 7 successfully held a concert titled 'Wait for Me in Jakarta' which took place last weekend at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

In a video uploaded by the TikTok account @oppal_id, one of the audience members caught the attention of Sheila's personnel, such as Eros and Duta.

From the stage, Eros saw a woman holding a banner that said Wealth, Throne, Duta.

"Someone brought a sign that says Wealth, Throne, Mr. Duta," said Eros, which made Duta laugh.

Duta then saw that the person holding it was a young woman. He abandoned his intention to praise the woman because he felt that this fan of his was the same age as his daughter.

"How old are you? What is your age? You're really beautiful, but I feel like you're the same age as my daughter," said Duta.

"I know my place, sorry," continued Duta, greeted with laughter from the audience.

This video immediately received a flood of comments from netizens.

"ehhh... so polite... sorry," said the sayi account.

"I want to have a crush on Mr. Duta, but why is Mr. Duta the same age as my father," replied the titak_bunda account.

"Mr. Duta is the same age as my father, I want to have a crush but I'm confused," wrote the rekhaaaaaaa account.

Behind the Sheila On 7 Concert 'Wait for Me in Jakarta' and the Terms of Wealth, Throne, and Ambassador

Dream - Fans of the band Sheila On 7 have just had the opportunity to watch their favorite band's concert on Saturday, January 28, 2022. Held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, Jakarta, Sheila Gank, the nickname for Sheila On 7 fans, were treated to the band's hit songs.

Led by vocalist Akhdiyat Duta Modjo (Duta), Eross Candra on guitar, and Adam Muhammad Subarkah on bass, Sheila On 7 held a concert titled 'Wait for Me in Jakarta.' The songs Pejantan Tangguh and Jadikan Aku Pacarmu were the opening songs of the concert, which had been sold out long in advance.

“Me, Erros, and the others thank you for waiting for us in Jakarta. When I saw your faces, I said don't cry, don't cry,” said Akhdiyat Duta Modjo, Sheila On 7's vocalist that night.

Satisfied with the two opening songs, Duta didn't give his fans a chance to breathe when he performed several of his popular songs. Film Favorit, Bila Kau Tak Disampingku, Seberapa Pantas, Sephia, and Yang Terlewatkan were the next songs performed by Duta together with Sheila Gank.

Entertaining Sheila Gank

Dream journalist who had the opportunity to watch the concert had a chat with several Sheila Gank members who were enjoying the concert.

“I have been a Sheila Gank since 2010, and they are very friendly and caring with us. There was once a Sheila Gank member who had an accident and was visited by the team and personnel of Sheila On 7,” explained Rere, one of the Sheila Gank members who was also met at the 'Meet Me in Jakarta' concert.

Wealth, Throne, and Ambassador

Next, Sheila On 7 performed their first song, Kita, which was released in 1999.

After that, Duta was seen reading one of the posters that said Wealth, Throne, and Ambassador. Duta jokingly responded that the person holding the poster was the same age as his daughter.

"Try googling Duta's age first," added Erros, Sheila On 7's guitarist, while laughing.
