"Dream - In Islamic teachings, intercession (syafaat) holds a very important meaning, especially on the Day of Judgment. Intercession is the intermediary or assistance from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the friends of Allah to humanity to obtain relief or salvation from the punishment of Allah SWT. On the Day of Judgment, when each individual stands before Allah to account for their deeds, intercession becomes a hope that is eagerly awaited. Without intercession, many believers may not be able to withstand the severity of the reckoning and the torment promised for those who have sinned."

From Abdullah bin Amr ra said that the Messenger of Allah saw said: "Fasting and the Qur'an will intercede for the servant (who practices them). Fasting will plead, 'O Allah, I prevented him from eating and drinking during the day, so accept my intercession for him.' And the Qur'an said, 'O Allah, I prevented him from sleeping at night, so accept my intercession for him.' In the end, both intercessions were accepted." (HR. Ahmad, Ibn Abi Dunya, and At-Thabrani)

According to the hadith above, it indicates about fasting. Where a person who is fasting should avoid indulging in the pleasures of the flesh. Although such things are permissible, like being affectionate with one's wife and kissing her. It is also explained in the Quran, Surah Al-Insan, verse 26: "I am the one who makes you rise at night and makes you thirsty during the day." Those who recite the Quran throughout the night and day receive praise from Allah because it is part of His commands.

"And during part of the night, prostrate to Him and glorify Him a long part of the night." (QA. Al-Insan: 26) The two pieces of evidence above explain that fasting and reading the Quran have extraordinary virtues. This is what became the habit of the companions and the early scholars. Therefore, it is not surprising that these two acts of worship can bring intercession for those who perform them."
