21 Years Living a New Life, Love of Former Couple Rekindles After Hearing Sad News

Dream - Reknitting love again after being separated for so many years may be very difficult for a husband and wife couple. However, that does not mean it is impossible. Especially when the seed of love in the heart is still deeply rooted.

But it is not the case for the Malaysian couple named Hawazalina Mohd Othman and Mohd Ezwani Ahmad Nazeri. Despite being divorced for 21 years, this couple, who are now 46 and 45 years old respectively, have decided to reconcile. Their love story blossomed again through a piece of sad news. After divorcing in 2002, Hawazalina and Ezwani have married other partners.

According to Hawazalina, during the 21 separation, they never contacted or met each other because they already had a new life.

It reveals that his relationship with Ezwani was reestablished on February 22, 2023. Communication was reestablished after Ezwani learned that Hawazalina's mother had passed away.

Ezwani learned about the sad news from her colleague and immediately expressed condolences to her former wife through her Facebook account. "At first, I didn't recognize her face because it had been too long since we last met and her face had also changed, so it was my younger sister who recognized her," said Hawazalina.

"Ezwani then added me back on FB and since then we started communicating and that's when we knew each other's stories. He later said, why don't we unite again and I agreed with him," he added.

It didn't take long for him to decide to reconcile with Ezwani. He felt that the man was still the same person he knew before.

"Our previous separation was due to very personal reasons, but throughout our previous marriage, he was a good and responsible person. I believe he is still the same as 21 years ago," he said."

The decision of Hawazalina and Ezwani to reconcile and obtain approval from both families, including their children. "All of our children and families also accept this (remarriage) decision. Honestly, it feels a bit awkward because we haven't met in a long time, but I hope this remarriage will last forever until the end of our lives," she said.
