Dream - Munkar and Nakir are two angels who are assigned by Allah SWT to question the inhabitants of the grave in the realm of barzakh in the future. They will face accountable beings, both from the jinn and human beings. The questions are related to faith. Although they are only two and have to face the large number of beings who die every day, they still carry out that task according to the command of Allah SWT. The first group that is free from the questioning of the angels Munkar and Nakir are the Prophets. The Prophets will not experience the torment of the grave. This is because they are noble compared to the martyrs. Ibn Taymiyyah said that the Prophets are the ones whose condition will be questioned by the deceased (who is your prophet). So, these Prophets are not among those who will be questioned by the angels Munkar and Nakir.

The second group is called shiddiqin. Shiddiqin are people who possess the qualities of honesty and truthfulness, specifically in terms of their faith. Therefore, their faith has already been proven and does not need to be tested again. Ibn Taymiyyah said that shiddiqin will not be questioned by the angels Munkar and Nakir because their status is higher than the status of martyrs.

The third group that will not be questioned by the angels Munkar and Nakir are the martyrs. The martyrs are those who are killed in the path of Allah SWT. They have already obtained true faith through their jihad. Allah SWT says in Surah At-Taubah verse 111: "Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed."

"(This is) the true promise from Allah in the Torah, Gospel, and Qur'an. Who is more faithful to their promise than Allah? So, rejoice in the trading that you have done. That is the great victory. Besides that, the Prophet Muhammad also said: "The flash of a sword above his head is enough as a test/temptation for him." (HR. An-Nasa'i)"

However, there are still differences of opinion among scholars regarding this group. Some say that they will be tested first because they are included in the general evidence. And if the burden of religious law is lifted, then after their death it will be different from when they were alive in this world.
