Dream - Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (FT UGM) has issued a circular letter prohibiting LGBT in the campus environment. This prohibition circular letter was signed by the Dean of FT UGM, Prof. Selo, on December 1, 2023. This circular letter with number 24801/12/UNIFTK/I/KM/2023 is addressed to lecturers, students, and educators in the FT UGM environment.

There are two points conveyed in this circular letter regarding the prohibition of LGBT at FT UGM, namely:

The first point, the Faculty of Engineering at Gadjah Mada University rejects and prohibits the activities and dissemination of LGBT for the entire Engineering Faculty community at Gadjah Mada University because it is not in accordance with the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and the prevailing norms in Indonesia.

Point number two, the Faculty of Engineering at Gadjah Mada University can impose maximum sanctions on lecturers, students, and educational staff who are proven to have behavior and/or spread beliefs, thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors that support LGBT.
