Dream - Researchers recently discovered a shocking fact while mapping the ocean floor of the Pacific Ocean. They found underwater mountains that have never been seen before. Its height is twice that of the Burj Khalifa, which is currently the tallest building in the world.

Since 2013, the Schmidt Ocean Institute has mapped 1.44 million square kilometers of the ocean floor. This means that up to this point, they have created almost 25% of the ocean floor base map with a resolution of 100 meters or higher.
"More than 100 Thousand Underwater Mountains"
They hope to be able to map the entire ocean floor, which in its entirety covers an area of 360 million square kilometers. As time goes by, researchers will surely discover many more large underwater mountains. According to recent satellite-based estimates, there are over 100 thousand unexplored underwater mountains with heights exceeding 1,000 meters.
Some of these in the sea may actually be giants. Technically, the tallest mountain on Earth is the underwater mountain Mauna Kea in Hawaii. This active volcano is over 10,210 meters high if measured from its base at the seabed, which reaches 5,486 meters below the surface.
As a comparison, the peak of Mount Everest is relatively 'low' with a height of 'only' 8,848 meters.
