Dream - The pleasures of heaven have been described in the Quran. This is the reward that everyone always hopes for after the end of this mortal world. Everything that humans have never imagined in this world is available in heaven, including clothing and drinks.

Clothing and beverages for the inhabitants of heaven are also mentioned in the holy book of Al-Quran. The clothing of the inhabitants of heaven is described as being made of thick, fine silk and green in color. The inhabitants of heaven are also provided with holy drinks from Allah for His faithful and righteous servants.

"Allah SWT said in Surah Al-Ihsan verse 21:
"Aaliyahum tsiyaabu sundusin khudruw-wa istabraq, wa hulluuu asaawira min fiddhatiw-wa saqoohum Rabbuhum syaraaban tahuuraa" translates to "Their garments will be of fine silk and brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. And their Lord will give them a pure drink."

Explanation of Ibn Kathir's Interpretation

Ibnu Katsir explained in his interpretation about verse 21 of Surah Al-Ihsan. The word of Allah SWT states, "they wear fine green silk and thick silk." According to the interpretation of Ibnu Katsir, the clothing of the inhabitants of heaven is made of silk. Thin and delicate silk fabric like a dress is worn directly on the body. Then, thick and shiny silk fabric is worn on the outside, similar to what people nowadays call a jacket or outerwear.

Silver Bracelet for the Righteous People

Allah SWT continues His statement by saying, "And they are adorned with silver bracelets." According to the explanation of Ibn Kathir, the silver bracelets mentioned in this verse depict the righteous people (Abrar). As for the near ones to Allah (Muqarrabun), their experience is described in another statement of Allah.

Description of the Muqarrabun People:
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.

"Indeed, Allah admits the believers who do righteous deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow. In those gardens, they are adorned with bracelets made of gold and pearls, and their clothing is silk."

Still in Surah Al-Ihsan verse 21, Allah also informs about the drink provided for the inhabitants of paradise, which is a clean and pure drink. "And their Lord will give them a clean (pure) drink."

Meaning Behind Clean Drinks

Ibn Kathir in his interpretation book explains that the clean drink in the mentioned verse means that Allah purifies their hearts from envy, jealousy, ill feelings, diseases, and all bad manners.

As the history of Amirul Mukminin Ali bin Abi Thalib karramahullahu wajhahu:

He once said, "When the people of paradise arrive at the gates of paradise, they will find two springs of water. They will feel inspired to go towards these two springs. They will drink from one of the springs, and Allah will remove all the diseases from their bodies. Then they will bathe in the other spring, and after that their bodies will radiate a view of life filled with pleasures."

Every word of Allah contains an extraordinary metaphorical meaning. Ibnu Katsir's interpretation of Surah Al-Ihsan verse 21 explains that the inhabitants of paradise have been cleansed in body and soul, so both outwardly and inwardly they are all beautiful and pure.
