Dream - The month of Ramadan has extraordinary privileges. The privileges of this month are unlimited, such as the opening of the doors of heaven, the closing of the doors of hell, and the multiplication of rewards for worship by Allah SWT. In addition to receiving rewards from obligatory worship, a person can also increase their rewards by increasing voluntary good deeds recommended during the month of Ramadan. 1. Eat Sahur

Sahur is included in the recommended practices during the month of Ramadan. Even with just a sip of water, it is considered sahur. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "Have your sahur, for there is blessing in sahur" (Narrated by al-Bukhari). The best time for sahur is towards the end. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "My ummah will always be in goodness as long as they delay sahur and hasten to break their fast" (Narrated by Ahmad).

2. Hastening the Breaking of the Fast

Hastening to break the fast is a highly recommended practice during the month of Ramadan. We should break our fast with water or dates, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "If one of you is fasting, let him break his fast with dates. If dates are not available, then with water. For water purifies." (Narrated by Abu Dawud)

3. Read the Iftar Prayer

"Allahumma laka shumtu wa 'ala rizqika afthartu, wa bika amantu, wa bika 'alaika tawakkalatu, dzahabadzh dzhama-u wabtalatil-'uruqu wa tsabatal-ajru insyaa-Allah. Ya wasi'al-fadhli ighfirli alhamdulillahilladzi hadani fashumtu, wa razaqani fa-afthartu" Translation: "O Allah, I fasted for You and with Your sustenance I break my fast. I believe in You and rely on You. Thirst has gone, veins are moist, and by the will of Allah, the reward is secured. O Lord of abundant grace, forgive me. All praise is due to Allah who has guided me to fast, and provided me with sustenance, so I break my fast."

4. Keeping the tongue from speaking bad words

It is important to guard our words from things that are not beneficial, especially from prohibited things such as lying and gossiping. Because all of this can reduce the rewards of our fasting.

5. Avoid Things that are Inconsistent with the Wisdom of Fasting

In order to align with the purpose and benefits of fasting, Muslims are advised to avoid actions that contradict the values of fasting, such as overeating during iftar or doing things solely to fulfill their desires.

6. Multiply Charity

It is recommended for people who are fasting to give a lot of charity to others, especially in the form of providing food or drink for breaking the fast. This is because the reward for giving food or drink to someone who is fasting is equal to the reward of fasting for the person who is given food or drink.

7. Itikaf

The recommended Sunnah during the month of Ramadan is to perform i'tikaf in the mosque. If unable to do it for the entire month, it is advisable to focus on i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan.

8. Reading the Quran

During the month of Ramadan, it is recommended to make an effort to read the Quran at least until completion once. The more frequently we achieve this accomplishment, the greater the goodness we will receive. Therefore, it is advisable for us to commit to allocating as much time as possible to read and contemplate the verses of the Quran during this blessed month.

9. Istiqamah Beribadah translates to "9. Steadfast in Worship" in English.

It is important to remain steadfast in performing worship during the month of Ramadan. And even better, all the voluntary acts of worship performed during this month should not stop after Ramadan ends.
