The condition is shown by one of the content creators who discovered an uninhabited settlement in the middle of Jakarta. In a YouTube channel upload, Dua Sepatu shows the atmosphere of the abandoned settlement. At first glance, the houses there are built in a mass and densely packed manner, resembling a crowded village. However, the abandoned condition makes this settlement quiet and lifeless.

Some houses are seen to have piles of mud deposits and wet and humid soil conditions around them. It turns out that the pile of mud deposits proves that the settlement area is often flooded. So severe, the water that flooded the settlement area once reached a height of three to four meters.

"Although it does not rain frequently, the area is often affected by water overflow from the river located next to the settlement. The water overflow comes from the highlands, making the settlement have a lower ground surface compared to other areas. 'Because this place often floods, look at this, all the soil, soil that rises to the residents' houses. That's why it's abandoned. Even if it doesn't rain in Jakarta, it can still flood here because of the water coming in,' said the account owner."

According to local residents, hundreds of houses in the settlement have been abandoned by their owners since the time of Governor Sutiyoso's administration. The beginning of the major flood that occurred in 1996 caused the residents to evacuate to safer places. "This has been abandoned for a long time, since the time of that big flood, during (Governor) Sutiyoso's time, I have been living here, born here. It started flooding in 1996," said one of the residents.
