Researchers utilize state-of-the-art CT-Scan technology to analyze the only known picrodontid skull.

Professor Emeritus Frederick Szalay from Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) convincingly classified picrodontids as primates in 1968 based on fossil evidence of teeth. Szalay conducted dental research on the single known picrodontid skull, Zanycteris paleocenus, as the basis of his study. The same skull was later analyzed with the latest technology, revealing that picrodontids are actually not primates.
