Dream - Drinking water is an important necessity for every human being. In fact, if Dream's friends lack drinking water, they can experience dehydration. Water is not just a liquid that soothes the throat. But there is a special quality behind it that has been researched by a famous water researcher, Dr. Massaru Emoto. Through his book entitled "The Hidden Messages in Water," he explains that water that is exposed to good humans will produce beautiful physical molecules. On the other hand, if it is exposed to evil and arrogant humans, its physical molecules will become damaged.
Well, praying alone is a good expression. Therefore, when a friend wants to drink, don't forget to recite the prayer for drinking water.
"Besides receiving blessings from Allah SWT, God willing, the water you drink can provide good benefits for the body. Here is the prayer for drinking water as summarized by Dream from various sources."
The following is a prayer for drinking water that friends of Dream can practice when they are about to drink:
Bismillah means: In the name of Allah.
Allahumma barik lana fihi wa zidna minhu means: Oh Allah, bless us in this water and increase it for us.
ar
"غُفْرَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحَيَّاتُكَ" translates to "Your forgiveness, O Allah, and our greetings to you."
This etiquette is taught by Prophet Muhammad SAW and reflects the values of courtesy, cleanliness, and respect for the blessings given by Allah SWT. Here are some etiquettes of drinking in Islam:
Reading Bismillah: Before drinking, it is recommended to read "Bismillah" (In the name of Allah). This is a form of gratitude and a request for blessings on the drink. Using the Right Hand: Drink with the right hand, as the left hand is used for things that are considered less clean according to Islamic etiquette. Sitting While Drinking: It is recommended to drink while sitting, as this is better for health and also in accordance with the Prophet's tradition.
Drink in Three Sips: Drink water in three sips, not all at once. This teaches simplicity and appreciating every sip of water. Do Not Blow or Breathe into the Glass: Avoid blowing or breathing into the glass while drinking, as this is considered impolite and unhygienic. Saying Alhamdulillah: After drinking, it is recommended to say "Alhamdulillah" (All praise be to Allah) as a sign of gratitude for the blessings that have been given.
"Do Not Drink from a Broken or Cracked Container: Avoid drinking from a damaged or cracked container as it can be harmful to your health. Offering Drinks to Others First: If you are drinking with others, it is recommended to offer drinks to others first before yourself. Do Not Drink Excessively: Avoid excessive drinking. Drink in moderation according to your body's needs."
By practicing these etiquettes, a Muslim not only follows the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) but also maintains health, cleanliness, and politeness in daily life.
