Dream - An English woman named Charlie Beardshall-Moore (24) recounts an experience that she will never forget when her left leg had to be amputated. It all started from a small scrape on the back of her leg caused by wearing shoes. The incident occurred in 2021 when her leg suffered a scrape from wearing sports shoes.

In a few days, the blister wound turned into an infection, growing and oozing pus. Worried about his condition, Charlie finally decided to go to several hospitals. He received various advice from specialist doctors, but his leg never healed.

At that time, the infection condition on his leg worsened. Charlie experienced sepsis or a life-threatening infection reaction due to artery blockage. As a result of the incident, the doctor finally decided to amputate Charlie to prevent the spread of infection in May 2024.

Charlie hopes that the incident he experienced can be a lesson for everyone. A small wound that may initially be considered trivial can become a dangerous problem in the future. "Society really needs to go and have it checked immediately. I am now losing my leg. It can happen to anyone," said Charlie.

Charlie is currently undergoing a recovery process. He is staying at a care home with his partner, Jason Copeland, and his grandmother, Sheryl Moore. Currently, he has to use a wheelchair to engage in activities. He plans to use a prosthetic leg, but preparations are needed for up to three months.

"I miss being able to do things on my own. I have been working all my life. I want to go back to work and not take sick leave," Charlie explained.
