That is what a Malaysian man named Mohamad Faqrul Abdullah faces when he joins a house cleaning service business with some of his friends.

Faqrul discovered something unexpected when cleaning an abandoned house that had been left empty for a long time due to the owner's passing away. The discovery of valuable belongings left behind by the occupants of the empty house was uploaded on the TikTok account @f.i8_empire and immediately went viral.

"Find Cash in the Empty House Belonging to a Widow"

That day, Faqrul and some of his friends were assigned to clean an empty house located in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. While they were busy with their work, Faqrul and his colleague were surprised by the discovery of a considerable amount of cash.

What is surprising, the money was found in almost every place inside the house belonging to the woman. Finding unexpected things while doing cleaning tasks has actually become a common thing for Faqrul.

"When we were cleaning the mother's house, a lot of money was found in every place inside the house. Some were kept in bags, in clothes, and also in medicine plastic," said Faqrul.

Regarding the owner of the house, Faqrul said, the deceased was a widow who passed away in her fifties due to an accident on the road about a year ago.

Faqrul added that the house is unoccupied because the late daughter's son lives elsewhere. Now, the late daughter's child wants to clean the house for the purpose of dividing the inheritance.

"Ringgit Currency and Foreign Currency"

Faqrul said that he found paper money amounting to approximately 38,000 Malaysian ringgit or around Rp132,638,110. The money includes old ringgit paper money and foreign currency. There are Singapore dollars, Rupiah, Riyal, and Vietnamese Dong. If combined, the total amount reaches around 40,000 ringgit. When converted to Indonesian Rupiah, the amount becomes in the range of Rp138 million.

Besides cash in various currencies, Faqrul also found various kinds of jewelry worth 20,000 ringgit or nearly Rp70 million.

According to Faqrul, the money and jewelry he found will be returned to the family of the owner of the empty house.

Known Generous

Faqrul received a story that the deceased was indeed known as a kind-hearted person and often shared blessings. "The deceased was someone who liked to give, always remembering their neighbors on the left and right. For example, if they went out to buy something, they would also buy for their neighbors," said Faqrul.

Based on his task of cleaning the widow's house for two days, Fakrul described that money is not everything for some people. Instead, they want to live a peaceful life surrounded by neighbors, friends, and family.
