Dream - The International Criminal Court (ICC) is reported to be considering issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The news was revealed by Israeli media, which reported that the government has received signals from legal officials that the ICC is considering issuing arrest warrants against senior officials, including Netanyahu.
According to Euro News, it is reported that the ICC is currently investigating Israel's actions both in Gaza and in the West Bank, Palestine. This investigation is being conducted in conjunction with Israel's aggression in Gaza, which has resulted in the death of 34,454 people so far.
This investigation not only has the potential to result in an arrest warrant against Netanyahu but also is likely to implicate Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.
"In recent times, Netanyahu has been reported to be anxious about the possibility of the ICC issuing an arrest warrant against him and senior Israeli officials. Netanyahu even made a post on X on Friday, April 26, 2024, stating that Israel will never accept or be affected by any efforts made by the ICC to undermine 'Israel's fundamental right to self-defense'."
"Under my leadership, Israel will never accept any efforts made by the ICC to undermine their right to self-defense. The threat to arrest soldiers and officials in the only democracy in the Middle East and the only Jewish state in the world is outrageous. We will not submit to it. Israel will continue to achieve victory in a just war against genocidal terrorists, and we will never stop defending ourselves."
"Even though the ICC will not affect Israel's actions, this will set a dangerous precedent that threatens soldiers and officials in all democratic countries fighting against barbaric terrorism and unintended aggression," Netanyahu wrote.
