Dream - Presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, responded to President Jokowi's decision to increase the performance allowance (tukin) of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) employees.
Ganjar hopes that the increase in allowances is not a form of temptation to bribe and support only one pair of candidates (paslon), but a form of attention to the Bawaslu commissioners.
"Hopefully everyone has a sense, has rationality, so that it is not a temptation, it is not a bribe, it is not a provocation to be pulled, pushed to take sides but it is attention to the staff or officials who are there,""

Furthermore, he considers the increase in allowances positively as a way to motivate the Bawaslu commissioners. "To work more professionally. I only see it positively," emphasized Ganjar.
As information, the decision on the increase in allowance for Bawaslu is stated in Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2024. Jokowi signed the regulation on Monday, 12 February 2024. The increase in allowance received by Bawaslu employees is adjusted according to job class. There are 17 job classes within the Bawaslu employee environment.
The highest level, which is grade 17, receives allowances up to Rp29,085,000 per month. This amount has increased by 16.7 percent from 2017.
