Before Jokowi and Iriana arrived, residents had started to arrive since 08.00 WIB. Jokowi and Iriana were seen arriving at around 08.50 WIB. Jokowi wore a white shirt and black pants, while Iriana wore a green dress. After heading to the registration table, they both sat on chairs to wait for the voting call. Jokowi and Iriana then voted at the same time.

After putting the ballot into the box, Jokowi and Iriana dipped their pinky fingers into the election ink. "Alhamdulillah, just now I and Mrs. Iriana have participated in the voting for the presidential and vice-presidential election, as well as the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Regional Representative Council (DPD), and Jakarta City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD)," said Jokowi after casting their votes.

"\u201cBecause this is a people's party,\u201d said Jokowi. In that occasion, Jokowi was also asked about the possibility of the presidential election only taking place in one round. \u201cLet's wait together,\u201d said Jokowi."
