As is known, President Jokowi once again reshuffled his cabinet on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Jokowi inaugurated Marshal (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto as the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs. Hadi replaced Mahfud Md, who resigned in early February because he participated in the 2024 presidential election. Hadi's position as Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) was then filled by the General Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

Jokowi admitted without hesitation that he chose AHY as the Minister of ATR/BPN. According to him, AHY has the ability to hold that position.

He conveyed that AHY is an alumnus of the Military Academy (Akmil) and a renowned foreign graduate. Therefore, Jokowi considers Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's (SBY) eldest son suitable to serve as the Minister of ATR/BPN.

As for this inauguration, it is based on Presidential Decision (Keppres) Number 34/P Year 2024 regarding the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Indonesian Maju Cabinet for the Period of 2019-2024.
