"Dream - North Korean officials (North Korea) are reportedly busy looking for ways to treat the obesity experienced by their leader, Kim Jong Un. The South Korean Intelligence Agency (National Intelligence Service/NIS) claims that Kim Jong Un has experienced a significant weight gain again, triggering health issues such as high blood pressure and diabetes."
According to ABC News, in a closed-door meeting with parliament on Monday, July 29, 2024, NIS stated that Kim Jong Un's weight is estimated to have increased to 140 kilograms after having previously decreased and appearing much thinner in 2021.
According to South Korean parliamentary officials who leaked the contents of the meeting, Lee Seong Kweun, the NIS stated that as a result of the weight gain, Kim Jong Un is now suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
"Lee said that NIS recorded that Kim Jong Un has indeed shown symptoms of high blood pressure and diabetes since he was in his early 30s."
The translation of "Gaya Hidup" to English is "Lifestyle".
"All this time, Kim Jong Un has also had a history as an active smoker and heavy drinker. His family also has a history of heart disease. NIS is confident that the obesity experienced by Kim Jong Un is caused by drinking habits, smoking, and stress."
NIS also admitted to receiving intelligence information that North Korean officials are busy seeking new treatments from abroad for Kim Jong Un, particularly for his high blood pressure and diabetes. Kim Jong Un's health has always been a concern because many are curious about the future of the Kim dynasty in North Korea. So far, Kim Jong Un has not officially appointed his successor.
"Nevertheless, NIS believes that Kim Jong Un is preparing his daughter, Kim Ju Ae, to be his potential successor. Besides 11-year-old Kim Ju Ae, Kim Jong Un's younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, has also been touted as a strong candidate for the supreme leader of North Korea in the future."
