When Abdullah was working on a date palm tree, he heard the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad and immediately recited the takbir. At that moment, Abdullah's aunt, who was under the date palm tree, said, "May Allah thwart you! By Allah, if you had heard the arrival of Musa bin Imran, you would not have increased your takbir." Abdullah then explained to his aunt that he was the brother of Musa bin Imran, sharing the same religion and sent with what Musa bin Imran brought. His aunt reassured him that the person was indeed the prophet who would be sent in the present time. Immediately, Abdullah went to meet the Prophet Muhammad and declared his conversion to Islam.

Then, the Prophet asked them about Abdullah's position in their eyes before embracing Islam. Finally, the Prophet brought Abdullah into his house. When asked about Abdullah's position, the Jews answered, "He is our leader and the son of our leader. He is our bishop and our scholar." At that moment, Abdullah came out and told the Jews to fear Allah SWT. He also explained that the Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah SWT, as written in the Torah, complete with his name and characteristics.
