According to him, there is a lot of injustice in the legal process in the country due to the existence of a legal mafia. "Then why are there so many legal problems? If we look at it from a regulatory perspective, the norms are all good, so why do people still commit such violations? It's because the law is only understood as a norm, article so and so means this norm, but if the law is only understood in this way, then it can go astray, as one issue can be seen from different articles. And what is lacking is ethics and morals, which should be the basis of law enforcement," said Mahfud.

However, the person does not want to back down due to the absence of a verdict from the court. "I don't want to, because I haven't been convicted by the court. So, I disregard non-legal norms. Many people violate the law but hide behind legal norms, for example, if it hasn't been decided by the court, don't disturb or sue, this is my right. They have no shame," he said.
