Dream - The month of Dhu al-Hijjah is right in front of us. This is one of the months that Allah SWT has honored. Including in this month, Muslims perform the pilgrimage in the Holy Land of Mecca. The month of Dhu al-Hijjah should not be wasted by Muslims. Instead, it should be filled with various recommended deeds. Through these deeds, there are abundant rewards that friends of Dream will receive. Muslims should also prepare themselves for the date of June 8, 2024. What's special about that date? Yes, that's when the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah starts, precisely on the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah.

According to Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS), June 8th is a day honored by Allah SWT because there are many privileges for Muslims. On that date, which also falls on the 1st of Dzulhijjah, Muslims are encouraged to fast for 9 days. "What's happening on June 8th? Wake up for suhoor to observe voluntary fasting. June 8th, 1 Dzulhijjah, is the most virtuous for fasting for 9 days. This is to fulfill fasting and deeds that are most beloved by Allah SWT. This is a hadith, an authentic hadith," explained UAS.

Besides that, UAS also conveyed that no Muslim should use the excuse of being too busy with work to not be able to fast. According to him, that reason is not logical because June 8th is a Saturday. "June 9th is a holiday, Sunday. And June 10th is Monday, so fasting on June 10th will give me four benefits as it is the 10th of June, the 3rd day of Dzulhijjah, and a Monday," explained UAS.

"First, it is necessary to fulfill the missed fasts, the intention is to fulfill the qadha fasts, for mothers who still have a debt of fasting for 7 days in the month of Shawwal during Ramadan, with only 8 days left to be replaced in the month of Shawwal, the Eid cakes are still abundant, this is the time, on Monday, June 10, 2024, the intention is to fulfill the qadha fast, then the qadha fasts are fulfilled, and one will receive the rewards of fasting on Mondays, the rewards of fasting in Dhu al-Hijjah, and the rewards of fasting in the sacred months." UAS added during his video sermon in Batam. In his sermon, UAS suggested that Muslims recite the intention for qadha fasting to fulfill their fasting debts.

From Ibn Abbas ra. he said: "There is no day in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than the first 10 days of Dhu al-Hijjah. The companions then asked, 'Can these deeds compare to the reward of jihad in the way of Allah?' Indeed, the deeds of the 10 days of Dhu al-Hijjah are better than jihad in the way of Allah, except for the jihad of a man who sacrifices himself, his wealth, and returns without bringing any of it (including his life) so that he dies as a martyr. Surely, that is better."

"There is no day that is more beloved to Allah SWT, where He is worshipped on that day except, the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. Fasting one day during it is equivalent to fasting one year. Worship, praying once during the night is like praying throughout the night for one year as well."
