Dream - Many beauties that Allah has created in this universe. The existence of beauty makes someone feel amazed at the creation of Allah SWT, whether it is human beings, the universe, or natural phenomena. When experiencing such a thing, it is better for us to say a prayer as an expression of gratitude. Reading a prayer when seeing beauty is a form of gratitude to Him for being given the sight to witness the beauty that He has created.
One good prayer sentence to be uttered when witnessing the beauty of Allah's creation is Masya Allah. Quoting from the book Tafsir Al-Qur'anul Karim for Surah Al-Kahf, the meaning of the phrase Masya Allah is "This is what Allah desires."
The phrase "Masya Allah" is used by a Muslim to express admiration and acknowledgement towards the greatness of Allah SWT. This phrase can be said at any time, for example when seeing towering mountains or witnessing extraordinary natural phenomena.
Prayer When Witnessing Beauty
The following is a prayer when witnessing beauty. This prayer is taken from the Quran, Surah Ali Imran verse 191. This prayer can be recited when witnessing the creation of Allah SWT. رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Translation: "Our Lord, You did not create this in vain; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
Chapter of Al Imran
In the letter of Ali Imran, Allah SWT actually commands mankind to always remember Him and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth. Allah SWT says in the letter of Ali Imran verses 190-191: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], 'Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.'"
Translation: "Meaning: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are signs for those who possess intellect, (namely) those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or lying on their sides, and reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth, saying: 'Our Lord, You have not created this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.'" (Surah Ali Imran: 190-191)."
